Royal Jelly is a honey bee product that serves as highly nutritional food for bee larvae. It is a white jelly-like substance with sour and slightly spicy taste. Secreted from the heads of young worker bees, the 'bee milk' is fed to both worker bees and the queen. While the former also receive other types of food, the queen is fed exclusively royal jelly during the first 7 days of life, which makes her more resistant than other bees and enables her to lay eggs, often between 2,000-3,000 per day.

Royal Jelly is a valuable food and medicine, as it is rich in Vitamin B1, B2, B4 and B6.
